Welcome!
My name is Katie Watson Jordan and I am a graduate of the University of Virginia where I double majored in Foreign Affairs and Media Studies. I also hold my Cisco Certification in Network Administration (CCNA) and my Certification as an Associate Project Manager (CAPM).
I worked multiple jobs throughout college in order to save money to see the world. To date I have self-funded trips to six continents, including two volunteer trips (one to Africa and one to Peru) and a three month backpacking trip from Western Europe to Southeast Asia. I keep detailed notes of all my travels and the tips I learn along the way, which I am happy to share them with you through Watson Wanders!
I am currently living in Philadelphia, PA and working remotely for a company outside of Washington, D.C. at a non-profit specializing in telecommunication and technology policy. I speak Spanish and French conversationally, and I practice each language regularly to improve my skills. I'm a huge foodie, and trying new restaurants is my absolute favorite thing to do. In my spare time I run as a member of the SpeakUp Race Team, read, and spend time outdoors.
